Environmental Protection: Environmental Permitting Updates
New environmental permitting amendment regulations include some changes to the process for transfers, measures for dealing with circumstances where a sole operator has died and a number of other points. The General Guidance Manual and Core Guidance have been revised to take these changes into account and include some other amendments such as reference to the Localism Act and a new manufacturing advisory service.
The RIAMS Environmental Permitting procedures are currently being revised to reflect these changes. In addition, the procedure covering the unloading of fuel at petrol stations is being updated with reference to Stage II vapour recovery.
