Two documents have been placed on RIAMS in the environmental permitting sub-category of environmental protection. One explains the types of waste operations that are exempt (T3 removal of grease and oil from metals, and T7 crushing of concrete, bricks etc.) and the second is a model application form for the exemption.

Environmental Permitting Amendment Regulations

The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 amend the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010. Changes relate to transferring permits where an individual who was the sole holder of a permit dies; transferring permits where an operator cannot be found; and amending so that waste combustion doesn’t include plant burning waste which has met the end of waste test.

RIAMS procedures have been updated to reflect these minor changes.
