RIAMS Food Procedure Update – Premises Interventions and Revisits

The procedure FP14 that addresses interventions and revisits in food businesses other than those subject to approval under Regulation 853/2004, has been updated and expanded. The procedure has been amended to reflect that most Local Authorities are now operating the national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, consideration of joint food safety and health and safety interventions and Primary Authority involvement. The various considerations in preparing and undertaking visits and revisits have also been amended to take account of the Code of Practice advice and guidance resulting from the Pennington review.

In addition, the flowcharts have been updated.
