Empty Dwelling Management Orders
p>In England, the Government has tightened up the use of Empty Dwelling Management Orders (EDMOs), making it a requirement for properties to have been empty for over 2 years instead of 6 months and also requiring further community engagement and at least 3 months formal consultation with owners.
The procedures on RIAMS for Interim and Final EDMOs have been updated to reflect these changes including new flowcharts. There is a full suite of model notices in the documents section and these have also been amended to take account of the changes.
