Live Music and Scrap Metal Licensing Updates

August 16, 2013

The Institute of Licensing with Poppleston Allen has developed a short guide to illustrate the deregulation of live music licensing requirements following the introduction of the Live Music Act 2012. The guide can be found on RIAMS in the National Policy and Guidance Licensing Act 2003 sub-section.

The Government is issuing scrap metal guidance prior to the implementation of the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 in October. This guidance outlines the costs local authorities can charge when issuing licences, the different types of licences, police objections to applications and the revocation of licences. It also supplies definitions of the central terms.?

The procedure on RIAMS will be updated once the further guidance has been issued on implementation.
