Places At Public Health Conference Going Fast
p>Over 200 places have already been booked at the first Hertfordshire Public Health Conference due to be held in Welwyn Garden City on December 4th. The event co-organised with RH Environmental is the idea of Director of Public Health, Jim McManus, and Executive Member for Public Health and Localism Councillor, Teresa Heritage. Public Health England Chief Executive, Duncan Selbie, will provide the keynote address on the day with other contributions coming from former Hertfordshire County Council Chief Executive, Caroline Tapster CBE, and renowned health psychologist, Doctor Falko Sniehotta.
The afternoon will see three parallel workshops looking at Environmental Factors, Accident Prevention and Early Interventions. The day will also be used to launch the Hertfordshire Public Health Strategy. DPH, Jim McManus, is hopeful that the event will get professionals from all disciplines thinking about Public Health with the aim of ? working together to turn the army of volunteers, stakeholders and professionals across Hertfordshire into a health promoting army.?
Places are free to Public Health Professionals living or working in Hertfordshire with those outside the county able to book for a cost of ?50 from October 29th. The event will be filmed for future release with live social media coverage also offered via Twitter using the #HertsPublicHealth.
