Details of recent guidance notes and procedures added to the RIAMS system including updates to Environmental Protection, Enforcement and Food knowledge areas.
New Guidance on Anti-social Behaviour Powers
Following an extensive public consultation the Home Office has issued statutory guidance for professionals on the reform of anti-social behaviour powers which are set out in the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. The guidance can be found in the Anti-social Behaviour folder of RIAMS together with an overview of the new powers. A series of procedures are currently in development and will be added over the coming weeks prior to the powers coming into force in the autumn.

Nitrogen Dioxide Diffusion Tubes
A new procedure has been added to the Air Quality folder of the Environmental Protection module on the use of Nitrogen Dioxide diffusion tubes. An example location checklist has also been added to the Documents section.

Responsibilities for Animal Welfare
The CIEH, RSPCA and LGA has published an advice guide essentially aimed at the general public identifying who is responsible for different animal-related issues and how they should be reported. The guide has been placed on RIAMS in the Environmental Crime module.

Part 2A Orders Health Protection
A new procedure has been added to the to the Food Poisoning and Infectious Diseases section of the RIAMS food module to cover the use of Part 2A Orders. A template letter has also been added for an application to a JP for a Part 2A Order. This information adds to the template forms and letters which are contained in the Health Protection Regulations 2010 Toolkit issued by the CIEH and other agencies. A copy of the toolkit can be found in the National policy and Guidance folder of the food module.

FSA Audit Summaries
Ten of the latest FSA audit summaries have been put into the Documents area in the Food module. Originally available in the Food Forum on the RHE website; the summaries will be updated in both areas.
