RSPH Announce Food Safety Conference Programme

The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) have announced details of their forthcoming one-day Food Safety Update entitled Good Practice, Better Solutions, Safer Food. The event on Thursday 19th May will be held at 28 Portland Place in London.

Speakers include professor Lisa Ackerley, who will chair the morning session, Kaarin Goodburn, MBE Director and Secretary General of the Chilled Food Association, and professor Carol Wallace from the University of Central Lancashire. The day, which is split into sessions on food safety and behaviour change for better practice, will look at a diverse range of subjects. Among the presentations will be the emerging risk of acrylamide in the food industry, rare burgers, the use of technology in controlling campylobacter and managing risks from norovirus.

The event will close with a panel discussion on establishing effective food safety controls which will include Professor Chris Griffith editor of the British Food Journal and Sterling Crew Vice President of the Institute of Food Science and Technology.
