New Food Forum blog

May 16, 2016

A new blog post has been uploaded on the Food Forum by our new administrator, Jenna. The blog covers the guidance published by the FSA regarding ‘less than thoroughly cooked burgers’, focusing on such aspects as: slaughter houses and cutting plants, guidance for catering establishments,  and advice to Food Enforcement professionals.

The FSA confirmed that local authorities must be made aware when a catering establishment wishes to serve ‘less than thoroughly cooked’ to members of the public and provided guidance on the procedures to be followed in preparation of the meat prior to serving in order to minimise negative health consequences, such as food poisoning.
