RHE Housing Conference 2017 – Initial Thoughts
On 27 September, we hosted our third annual housing conference in Birmingham. This event was attended by over 100 delegates and five exhibitors. From our initial review of the evaluation forms and feedback from our exhibitors, it seems that this event was very well received. This is what our exhibitors had to say:
Linda Cobb of Decent and Safe Homes (DASH Services), who sponsored this event, said: “so much has happened in the world of PRS in the last twelve months; this conference is pivotal in allowing local authority officers to keep up to date in their knowledge and allows them to share best practice”.
Ian Watson, from BRE, who have been represented at each of our housing conferences, said this was a “brilliant opportunity to chew over the latest housing developments with friends old and new”.
The director of Grafton Empty Homes, Mark Byrne, said the conference was a “hugely impressive event. Well worth attending both to meet people and be brought up to date on the sector”.
Finally, Rick Hassard from Tascomi said this was a “great event to hear about the challenges facing private housing and allowing ideas to be shared on how best to approach those challenges”.
We will be publishing a more in-depth review within the next few weeks and we look forward to utilising the comments provided to improve our conferences in future. If you were not able to attend this event, you can register your interest to attend our next Housing conference with our training team on firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01239 711793.
