How to Reset your Password

One technical support request we regularly receive relates to resetting passwords on RIAMS; this ‘How to’ covers how to do this and what to do if you don’t receive the email.

You can reset your password on RIAMS by clicking ‘Forgot Password?’ on the right-hand side of the RIAMS landing page. Once you click this and confirm your email address, an email is automatically generated and sent to you. This email contains a link to follow where you are able to set your new password.

Temporary passwords are provided for new users; for existing users, each user is in control of their own password. We recommend that temporary passwords are changed to something more memorable at your earliest convenience.

Automated emails will sometimes go into your junk folder, so if the email seems to be taking a little while to come through, we recommend refreshing your inbox and check your junk folder. If the delay continues, we recommend waiting a couple of hours before submitting a further request. Sometimes, these emails can be caught by organisational web security protocols so your IT department may need to release the email to you.
