We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Legal Digest and Enforcement forum on RIAMS Communities. The new Community will feature regular, free legal digests from Tim Everett, Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and former President of the CIEH.

This Community is an open forum aimed at all professionals working in regulation and enforcement, both public and private sector. In his digests, Tim will not only provide the case background and the statutory provisions involved, he will also explain the implications these judgments have for you, the professional.

Tim’s first digest is now available, so if you’re not already on Communities, why not create an account today? Alternatively, login and set your notifications to keep up to date with the latest.

This first digest concerns a Supreme Court judgement in HSE v Chevron North Sea Oil Ltd. The outcome changed the law in terms of how evidence arising after the service of a Prohibition Notice should be dealt with by the courts and tribunals. The decision will affect Health and Safety and some Food and Environmental Protection notices.
